Dieter Nohlen (born 6 November 1939 in Oberhausen)〔(Dieter Nohlen CV ) University of Heidelberg〕 is a German academic and political scientist.〔(Voting Quirk Could Favor Merkel in German Elections ) Der Spiegel, 7 February 2009〕 He currently holds the position of Emeritus Professor of Political Science in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Heidelberg.
